Romania Senate OKs Separate Child Benefit For Multiple Births

Romanian Senate on Monday approved with unanimity of votes a draft law introducing disbursement of separate child benefits in case of a multiple birth.

In case of multiple births, the draft act stipulates the payment of 600 lei (EUR1-RON4.1560) on top of the existing benefit for each child.

The draft act amends the government emergency ordinance 148/2005 on supporting families to raise children.

The act is pending debates in the Chamber of Deputies, which is decisional chamber in the matter.
