Romania Should Stop Energy Privatizations - Econ Ministry Off

"Privatizations in the strategic sectors should be stopped indefinitely," Serban said.

Companies as Transgaz (TGN.RO), Romgaz and Transelectrica (TEL.RO), as well as hydropower plants should not be sold, he said.

All the major energy companies are owned by the Economy Ministry.

However, power producer Termoelectrica may be sold to a private investor, Serban added.
