Romania Telecom Operators To Store Prepay Service Users’ Identity Data - Bill

Last year, the Parliament rejected a similar bill drafted by several democrat liberal MPs, who argued that over 90% of emergency calls made in 2010 were false and more than half of them were made by PrePay service users.

The Government will approve the new bill by the end of August, reads the document.

According to the bill, telecom operators will store customers' identity data regardless of the type of service (PrePay or subscription).
