Romania To Hold Local Elections On June 10

Romania will hold the first round of local elections on June 10, 2012, people close to the matter told MEDIAFAX Tuesday, citing a Government decision.

At the end of last year, the Government gained a confidence vote in Parliament to merge this year's local and parliamentary elections, but the Constitutional Court found the bill was illegal, and elections will be held separately.
