Romania To Send Humanitarian Aid To Haiti - Sources

Romania will send Haiti around EUR50,000 in humanitarian aid, joining earthquake relief efforts, people close to the matter told MEDIAFAX.

The decision to send aid was taken in the Government meeting on Wednesday.

Haiti was rocked on January 12 by a magnitude 7 earthquake. More than 75,000 people lost their lives and 250,000 were injured, while over one million were left homeless.

On January 20, an aftershock measuring magnitude 6.1 struck Haiti.
