Romanian Agriculture Ministry To Borrow Over EUR300M From Treasury To Pay Subsidies

Romania’s Agriculture Ministry will borrow EUR311 million from the state treasury to pay off subsidies, Prime Minister Emil Boc said late Wednesday.

The Government authorized the loan in Wednesday's Cabinet meeting.

The Agriculture Ministry will use EUR149 million for advance payments per surface to about 400,000 farmers out of a total one million beneficiaries.
