The sources said CFR Calatori set off proceedings to get green light from the country's competition watchdog, and the ministries of Finance and Transports, for a law-regulated increase in train ticket prices, driven by higher prices on the market and higher inflation.
They also said that if the company gets green light, ticket prices will be increased in summer.
