Romanian Deputy PM Nominated Interior Minister

Romania’s leftist Social Democrats, in the government coalition, on Tuesday evening nominated Deputy Prime Minister Dan Nica for position of minister of Interior.

Nica is to keep his position of deputy premier as well.

Nica will replace Liviu Dragnea, who announced his resignation Monday night just ten days after he took office, saying the ministry received too little money at this year's budget.
