Romanian Govt Oks Asphalt Works On County, Local Roads

The Romanian Government approved in its meeting Monday three programs targeting asphalt works on 10,000 kilometers of county and local roads, the state budget financing of minimum 800 overdue rural development projects and the finalization of 100 upgrade works on water supply systems.

The programs will be unfolded in the 2011-2015 interval and will be earmarked a total EUR4 billion.

Prime Minister Emil Boc said Monday the rehabilitation program of 10,000 kilometers of roads was approved by the Government in 2009, through memorandum, adding now it was adopted through emergency decree to be set in motion immediately.
