Romanian anticorruption prosecutors probe the country’s health minister, liberal Eugen Nicolaescu, in the file of the Romanian Lottery.

Nicolaescu was deputy secretary general in the Finance Ministry in 1999 and 2000.

Former liberal Cristian Boureanu recently received a notice that he is being criminally investigated by prosecuted by anticorruption prosecutors. He said the notice did not include the charges against him, but only a reference to the time in 2000 when he was a member of the general shareholding structure of the lottery.
