Romanian Health Minister Has Not Resigned, Rumors False – Government

Romanian Government spokeswoman Ioana Muntaen said Wednesday that Cseke Attila has not resigned from the position of Health Minister and the rumors circulated by the press are false.

"Attila Cseke has not submitted his resignation as minister. The rumors are false," said Muntean.

People close to the matter previously told MEDIAFAX that the health minister requested the Government to unfreeze hiring in the public healthcare system.

At 2.30 p.m., Cseke will hold a news conference at the Government headquarters.
