Romanian Hydrologists Might Seek Flood Intelligence On Ukrainian Soil

Romanian government sources told MEDIAFAX that Romanian diplomats will issue, Monday evening, an official request in the matter.

"We are communicating with the Ukrainians on the border flows alone. We will request access for an inspection on the northern rivers, which would enable us to have a more comprehensive picture of the real situation, thus we might know what to expect," the quoted sources said.

Romanian interior minister Cristian David explicitly criticized the "poor communication" between Romanian and Ukrainian authorities regarding the floods in northern Moldavia, mentioning that the actual state of the water flows reached Romanian authorities late.
