Romanian Integrity Agency To Check 60,0000 Wealth, Interest Statements

Romania’s Integrity Agency inspectors have to check over 60,000 wealth and interest statements of local election candidates.

According to Law 144/2007 on the organization of the National Integrity Agency, candidates for positions in county councils, local council or mayor seats, are obliged to declare their interests and wealth.

Official sources said that over 60,000 such documents had been registered by Friday. The same sources added not all candidates have submitted statements.
