Romanian Intelligence Officer Indicted On Influence Peddling Charges

Romanian anticorruption prosecutors said Thursday they have indicted major Aifer Enan of the Romanian Intelligence Service SRI, who is accused of bribe taking and influence peddling to help someone get a job within the service.

In 2009-2010, Enan allegedly received EUR6,100 from a man whom she promised to help get a job with the intelligence service. She also allegedly promised to help the man's wife get a job in the Romanian Parliament.

Her case will be tried by the Bucharest Court.
