Romanian Justice Min To See New Codes Adopted, Resign – Ex PM

Romanian liberal head Calin Tariceanu, said Saturday justice minister Catalin Predoiu told him, when they talked about the continuation of his mandate in the ministry, that he will resign when the four codes – Criminal, Civil, Criminal Procedure and Civil Procedure - are adopted.

"I have held a talk with him on this topic, where I said I, and my colleagues, oppose this attitude, but he told me – and we shall see if things will be so – that once the Codes are adopted, he will resign the position of justice minister and he wishes to return to the National Liberal Party," Tariceanu said.
