Romanian Liberal Democrats Advocate Alliance With Democratic Party Over Good EP Results-Sources
Romania’s Liberal Democratic Party, or PLD, is interested in an alliance for the 2008 municipal and parliamentary elections with fellow opposition Democratic Party, or PD, following the good results both parties registered in the EP elections on Sunday, liberal democrat sources said.

PLD’s strategy is to be debated and validated during a meeting on Wednesday, December 5.
Final vote count on Tuesday afternoon showed PD won 39.5 percent of votes at the EP elections, while PLD - 9.7 percent.
