Romanian Lower House Committee To Debate Draft Revised Constitution Starting Sept 1

The Romanian Chamber of Deputies on Monday decided the draft revised Constitution will be debated by the committee for legal matters starting September 1, said lower house vice-president Ioan Oltean.

According to Oltean, the committee for legal matters has 60 days starting September 1 to draw up a report on the draft act.

If the committee decides to work during the Parliament's recess, the Chamber of Deputies' Standing Office will analyze the aspect, said Oltean.

President Traian Basescu sent the draft revised Constitution to the Parliament last week.
