Romanian Mine Blast Death Toll Rises, As One Miner Dies In Hospital

The accident that occurred on November 15 at the Petrila mine in western Romania claimed another life Monday, as one of the blast victims died of a cardiac arrest in the morning at the Floreasca emergency hospital in Bucharest, hospital spokesman Bogdan Oprita told MEDIAFAX.

Two other blast victims are committed to the Floreasca hospital, ad one is in critical condition while the other is stable.

Two blasts at the mine claimed the lives of 12 miners and rescuers and injured another 14 people. Eight of the injured were brought to Bucharest, while six were released from the local hospital in Petrosani Wednesday.
