Romanian oil company Petrom is ranked ten among the top 1,000 companies, in ten states new members of the EU, plus Croatia, with respect for income, with a financial result of EUR3.8 billion in 2006.

The chart, compiled by economic research company Crossover Research, includes 43 Romanian companies with cumulated revenues of EUR27.494 billion. The average revenues of one of the Romanian companies included in the chart reach EUR639 million.
