Romanian Parliament Committees Endorsed Proposed Justice Minister

Romania’s Parliament committees for legal matters and human rights Tuesday endorsed proposed Justice Minister Catalin Predoiu with 51 to nine votes and one abstention.

Predoiu, an independent, has been the country's justice minister throughout several Cabinets starting with the liberal government led by Calin Tariceanu.

Prime Minister-designate Emil Boc will seek Wednesday a confidence vote for a Cabinet of 15 ministers and a deputy prime minister.
