Romanian Parliament Committees Increase 2011 Health Ministry Budget To 5% Of GDP
The Romanian Parliament's committees for health on Thursday adopted an amendment to the 2011 state budget bill, increasing the Health Ministry's budget to 5% of the GDP, from 3.9%.

The amendment was proposed by liberal deputy Horia Cristian and endorsed by the social democrats in the committee.
Health Minister Attila Cseke thanked the members of the committee for their "good intentions," but said he would prefer it if the National Health Insurance House's budget was increased, instead of the ministry's.
