Romanian President: Pensions, Public Sector Wages Will Not Be Cut In 2012

Romanian President Traian Basescu said Monday that pensions would not be reduced or additionally taxed, and that public sector salaries would not be cut in 2012.

He added that these decisions were made in the Monday meeting at the presidential palace.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Emil Boc, members of the Cabinet and central bank officials.
