The motion's initiators called on Defense Minister Gabriel Oprea to resign, accusing him of "duplicity and inconsistency" on the subject of military pensions.
Oprea said Monday the motion offered no "constructive criticism" and made no specific reference to his activity as minister. In a speech following the debate, he accused the social democrats of serving special interest groups and not pensioners' interests.
