One of the amendments proposed to set retirement age at 63 and the other at 64.
Under the bill, retirement age in the country is set to increase gradually, from 59 in 2011 for women to 65 in 2030, and from 64 in 2011 for men to 65 in 2015.
The Romanian Government approved mid-February a draft law reforming the country's public pension system, which is now under debate in Senate and should be enacted by June.
