Romanian Social Democrats’ Motion On Agriculture To Be Debated Next Week

The Romanian Chamber of Deputies’ Standing Bureau decided Wednesday that the simple motion on agriculture, filed by the Social Democratic Party, shall be debated in the Chamber’s plenary session next Tuesday.

The announcement was made by Chamber secretary Sever Voinescu, who added that the deputies will vote on the motion the following day.

The motion was filed Wednesday by the Social Democratic Party and Conservative Party. It calls for the resignation of Agriculture Minister Mihail Dumitru and for the Government to give farmers "real assistance."
