Romanian Social Democrats Refuse To Support The Designated PM In Parliament

Romanian Social Democrat leader Mircea Geoana said on Thursday that his party may work with Lucian Croitoru, President Traian Basescu’s PM nominee, but stated that supporting Croitoru in Parliament is out of the question.

When asked if the Social Democratic Party will talk with Lucian Croitoru about his Government proposal and program, Geoana replied "We are civilized people." However, Geoana said his party will not support the designated Prime Minister in Parliament.
