Romanian Sustainable Home Heating Subsidy Program Reopened To Individuals In May

Romania's "Green House" program will be reopened to individuals in May, Environment Minister Laszlo Borbely announced Thursday.

Borbely said that, in less than a month, the government will again provide non-refundable aid from the Environment Fund to people interested in outfitting their homes with heating systems that use renewable energy.

The minister said that last year, the program received 18,500 applications. Funds totaling 110 million lei (EUR1=RON4.1021) were approved for almost 3,000.
