Romanian TV Owner Dan Diaconescu Allowed To Set Up Party

The Bucharest Court of Appeals on Monday approved TV owner Dan Diaconescu’s application to set up “People’s Party-Dan Diaconescu” (PP-DD).

On June 7, the Bucharest Court rejected Diaconescu's application to register his party and the TV owner appealed the ruling, which was not final.

That was the second time a court denied the registration of the TV owner's party.

The application to set up PP-DD was registered at the Bucharest Court on April 12, after the Bucharest Court of Appeals rejected early April Diaconescu's application to set up the People's Party. The ruling was final.
