Senators with the country’s far right Greater Romania Party and with the Conservative Party last Thursday challenged the constitutionality of several provisions included in the law on the uninominal voting system.
The provisions referred, among others, to electoral rights of minorities in Romania, mandatory electoral thresholds, the modality of electing local public authorities etc.
