Romanian Women’s Handball Team Wins GF World Cup

Romania’s national women’s handball team won the GF World Cup on Sunday, after defeating Norway 24-23 (12-12).

Romania scored through: Geiger (6 goals), Moldovan (5), Manea (4), Ardean (4), Chintoan (2), Nechita (1), Tivadar (1) and Bradeanu (1). Loke (5 goals), Sulland (5), Moldi (4), Johansen (3), Alstad (2), Mork (2), Solberg (1) and Frafjord (1) scored for Norway.

Third place, decided in a match Sunday, went to the French team, which beat host nation Denmark 28-26 (17-15).

Romania's women's handball team won the GF World Cup in 2009 as well, having also faced Norway in the final.
