Romanians Dinu Patriciu, Ion Tiriac In Forbes Top 16 Wealthiest Eastern Europeans

Romanian business Dinu Patriciu ranks 10th in Forbes’ top 16 wealthiest businesspersons in Eastern Europe, with an estimated fortune of $2.5 billion, ahead of another Romanian, Ion Tiriac, who ranks 14th with $1.2 billion.

Patriciu made it to Forbes top 16 after he sold his majority stake in Romania’s second largest oil company Rompetrol to Kazakhstan’s KazMunaiGas.

Rompetrol Group was evaluated at $3.6 billion, so Patriciu’s share would rise to $2.7 billion.
