Ten Dead, Three Missing In NE Romania Floods

Ten people have died and three have been reported missing in the counties of Botosani and Suceava, northeastern Romania, which have been severely affected by floods.

Hundreds of people have been relocated and dozens of homes have collapsed, while hundreds of other homes have been partially damaged.

Floods caused by heavy rainfall over the past few days affected thousands of hectares of pasture and farmland, roads, bridges and power lines in some rural areas in northeastern Romania.

Weather authorities have extended heavy rainfall advisories in northern, northeastern and part of central Romania until Wednesday morning.
