Ten Injured In Explosion At Bihor County Gas Cylinder Recharge Station

Ten people were injured in Bihor county on Monday evening, following an explosion followed by a fire at a gas cylinder recharge station in the township of Stei.

According to Romania’s General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), the victims suffered first and second-degree burns on their bodies.

Four victims were intubated pre-emptively after they also suffered respiratory tract burns. Seven of the injured are employed at the station.

Authorities have launched an inquiry to determine the causes of the explosion.
