Two Workers Died Digging Sewer In Bucharest

Two workers died Monday covered by a pile of earth while digging a sewer on a construction site in Bucharest’s district 2, said Catalin Eftene, spokesman of Bucharest’s emergency inspectorate.

According to Eftene, the accident occurred around 14.30 local time. Emergency help arrived on site in a few minutes. Rescue teams managed to pull the two workers out, but they were already deceased, according to the medical director of the ambulance service, Alis Grasu.
