Woman Killed By Romanian Subway Train

A woman was hit and killed Tuesday by a Bucharest subway train, after she fell on the tracks in the Piata Romana station, SMURD emergency service coordinator Bogdan Oprita told MEDIAFAX.

The woman's body had to be extricated from beneath the train car.

Traffic on the train's route was restricted for about 15 minutes, subway company director Gheorghe Udriste said.
