The extraordinary congress of the Liberal Democratic Party, or PLD, Saturday voted with only one vote against and six abstentions in favor of the merger through absorption with the Democratic Party.
The status and the political program of the newly set up party, the Democratic Liberal Party, or PDL, were approved with only three, two abstentions respectively.
