"Last year, we had a plan to amend legislation on clinical studies and improve regulations and clear the financial aspects of these studies. We'll draft a bill this year because it's not fair that money for these clinical tests goes exclusively to doctors while the hospital expenses of patients in the studies are paid by the Health ministry of local authorities," the minister told a news conference Friday.

The ministry, he said, may initiate legislative changes to force doctors that perform clinical tests to transfer a percentage of the funds assigned by pharmaceutical companies to hospitals.
