Romanian President Traian Basescu said Thursday in Tbilisi, after a meeting with Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, that Romania will back Georgia and Ukraine to receive Membership Action Plan at the NATO council of ministers ‘ meeting in December.

Answering a question, Basescu said that even after the events in South Ossetia, Romania maintains its stance to back Georgia and Ukraine for MAP in December.
