Chamber of Deputies budget and finance committee president Viorel Stefan said the Finance Ministry reduced the Senate’s budget to 86 million lei (EUR1=RON4.2899), from RON128 million, the sum approved by the institution.

Debates in the committees continue in the absence of social democrats.

The budget and finance committees started debates on the draft 2011 state budget law on Friday. Lawmakers approved the articles of the normative act and the budgets of 29 institutions managing public money.
