Danube Oil Spill In SW Romanian Waters
Romanian authorities are working to contain and neutralize several oil patches spanning over one kilometer on Danube River, in the southwestern county of Mehedinti.

According to local officials, the oil spill most likely comes from bilge waters.
Representatives of the Water Administration System in Mehedinti county took immediate measures to neutralize the oil patches using biodegradable products.
