Pitesti planetarium, the third one of its kind in the world, can host 40 spectators and has unique furniture and eco-friendly air conditioning equipment.
For 35 minutes, visitors can travel throughout the entire Universe and be taught astronomy lessons with the help of a three-dimensional viewing program.
"It is the third digital planetarium in the world, after the one in Ukraine and Italy, but it is the only one located in a museum. It belongs to the "In Space Systems" planetarium types, has a seven meters diameter and a high-quality sound system,” project coordinator Remus Carstea said.
The planetarium was built in four months by 60 employees of a French company, following an international public auction.
