Four Injured In Fire Near Oil Refinery, Southern Romania

The spokesperson for the local emergency inspectorate, Marina Dinu, said the fire did not occur within the oil refinery, but on a platform nearby, belonging to a commercial company.

The local ambulance service intervened and took the four people injured to the Ploiesti county emergency hospital, and a helicopter was standing by in case any of the patients needed to be taken to Bucharest.

The fire was put out and firefighters are cooling the area to avoid another blaze.
