Romania will officially come out of recession at the end of the first quarter of 2011, Prime Minister Emil Boc said Friday evening.

„Data show that at the end of the first quarter of 2011, in March, Romania will officially emerge from recession,” said Boc, adding this will prove that the austerity measures implemented by the Government have been efficient and will trigger the revival of the Democratic Liberal Party and the ruling coalition.

The prime minister pointed out that the unemployment rate is falling and the number of labor contracts hit about six million.
