Romanian Football League Head Leaves Far-Rightists for Democrat Liberals
The head of the Romanian Professional Football League, Dumitru Dragomir, quit the far-right Greater Romania Party and will run for a seat in parliament with democrat liberals, Dragomir told MEDIAFAX Thursday.

"I quit for fear the party wouldn’t make the electoral threshold,” he said, citing recent opinion polls which place the far-rightist party below the electoral threshold of 5% needed to gain seats in parliament.
He said he would join a “strong party” and chose the Democratic Liberal Party.
