Romanian Prime Minister Calin Tariceanu said Friday in the opening of the ruling Liberal Party’s standing delegation meeting that he eyes a second term as prime minister.

"I proudly and enthusiastically announce today that I would like to be the party’s candidate for the prime minister position,” Tariceanu said.

Liberals met Friday to discuss their governing plans, campaign strategies for upcoming parliamentary elections and to give a confidence vote to party leader Tariceanu, for a new prime minister term.
