Romanian President To Go On Official Visit To South Korea

Romanian President Traian Basescu will be on official visit to South Korea Wednesday through Friday at the invitation of Korean President Lee Myung-bak, and will sign a strategic partnership with the country, the president’s office said in a press release Tuesday.

The visit will reconfirm the importance Romania grants to its relationship with the Republic of Korea and the two countries will sign a joint statement making the states’ bilateral relations into a strategic partnership, the press release read.

Basescu will take part in a Romanian-Korean economic cooperation forum, to be attended by officials of some o the largest South-Korean companies.
