Romanian Presidential Commission Proposes Measures To Protect National Patrimony

Romania’s presidential commission for patrimony presented Tuesday a set of twelve measures it sees as priorities for the sector, measures Romanian president Traian Basescu will forward to the Parliament and Government.

The commission’s report also includes an analysis of Romanian patrimony, historical and natural sites.

Basescu said in a speech that the commission came up with 12 measures seen as priorities in the protection of national patrimony, which he said he would forward to the Parliament and the Government to harmonize regulations in the field.

The head of state added the commission will draw up a strategy by the end of the year for the protection of national patrimony.
