The Romanian democrat liberals will “narrowly” win the Parliament elections against the social democrats, as the votes of Romanians abroad will make the difference, democrat liberal leader Emil Boc said Monday.

"According to our data, in the end there will be a slight positive difference against the social democrats, so we will narrowly win the elections," Boc said.

He added he is counting on the votes of Romanians abroad, as these votes have not yer been considered.

Romania’s alliance between social democrats and conservatives obtained 33% of voters’ preferences for the Chamber of Deputies, followed by the Democratic Liberal Party with 32.57% and liberals with 18.32%, following the counting of votes in 92.73% of polling stations countrywide by GMT 1200.
