Greater Romania Party Leader Announces Presidential Candidacy

Greater Romania Party (PRM) president Corneliu Vadim Tudor announced Saturday that he will run for President of Romania and, if he wins, he will select suggest Gigi Becali for Prime Minister.

Corneliu Vadim Tudor and Gigi Becali took part together in a campaign event in the northeastern Romanian city of Iasi, attended by around 700 members and supporters of the party.

“In the coming elections I will run for President of Romania and recommend Mr. Becali for Prime Minister,” the PRM president said in his speech. Gigi Becali smiled at this, but gave no reply.

Corneliu Vadim Tudor and Gigi Becali hold the top and second position, respectively, on PRM’s list of candidates for the European Parliament.
