Preliminary Results At GMT 0800: PSD+PC Alliance 30.82%, PDL 29.75 %, PNL 14.53%, UDMR 9.07%
Preliminary results from the Central Electoral Office (BEC), at GMT 0800, indicate the alliance formed of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the Conservative Party (PC) secured 30.82% of the votes, the Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) obtained 29.75% and the National Liberal Party (PNL) got 14.53%.

Furthermore, the Hungarian minority party (UDMR) obtained 9.07%, followed by far-right Greater Romania Party (PRM) with 8.68% and independent candidate Elena Basescu with 4.22%, BEC spokesperson, Marian Muhulet, said Monday.
The PSD+PC alliance obtained 1,427,085 votes, or 30.82%; PDL got 1,377,488 votes, or 29.75%; PNL obtained 672,780 votes, or 14.53%; UDMR got 419,992 votes, or 9,07%; PRM obtained 401,908 votes, or 8.68%; Elena Basescu obtained 195,608, or 4.22%; the National Christian-Democratic Peasants' Party (PNTCD) obtained 67,945 votes, or 1.46%; Abraham Pavel got 47,557 votes, or 1.02% and the Civic Force Party obtained 18,662 votes, or 0.4%.
The total number of voters at the European Parliament elections on June 7 reached 4,815,816, or 27.52%.
The total number of valid votes reached 4,629,025, or 96.12%.
